ABOUT THE SPIRIT OF BLUE

Our Mission

The Spirit of Blue Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the enhancement of officer safety and vitality throughout the law enforcement community by promoting public awareness for their protection and fulfilling safety equipment and training needs.

Our Approach

We believe there is strength-in-numbers. The Spirit of Blue Foundation’s joining forces approach is intended to benefit the law enforcement community in more ways than one. By joining forces with other non-profit organizations we are able to reach a larger audience, educate that audience on the importance of the safety of our men and women in blue, and raise funds for the purpose of safety equipment grants as well as for our participating non-profits.

Our Scope

The Spirit of Blue Foundation creates unique fundraising opportunities for law enforcement related non-profit organizations. Through campaigns, unique products, and innovation we are able to provide
participating non-profits with greater fundraising abilities. Strategically designed to benefit both participating non-profits and the Spirit of Blue Foundation’s goal to provide safety grants to law
enforcement agencies across the country, our initiatives benefit the law enforcement community two-fold.

Our Vision

To become the nation’s leading supplemental funding source for the protection, training and education of law enforcement officers while building a unifying national presence through:

  • Fundraising
  • Safety Grants
  • Partnerships
  • Advocacy
  • Training & Education

GRANTS:

The Spirit of Blue Foundation’s mission of protecting the men and women in blue who serve to protect us fuels our fundraising initiatives for safety equipment grants. Through our fundraising, the foundation is able to provide grants in partnership with law enforcement safety equipment manufacturers ranging from illumination to ballistic protection to firearms.

UNITY:

The Spirit of Blue Foundation initially began as a brand under which multiple law enforcement related non-profit organizations could fundraise under a single campaign. It has since grown to become its own non- profit organization; still with the same goal of providing unity amongst non-profit organizations with similar intent. The Spirit of Blue Foundation provides an opportunity for the law enforcement community of non-profits to join forces as they raise funds for their organizations;” growing their reach, footprint, and fundraising opportunity.

COMMUNITY:

We understand the law enforcement community is a tight knit one. Whether you serve as a law enforcement officer, you’re a family member of someone who serves or you have lost a loved one in the line of duty; you understand the sacrifice and commitment that comes with the job. We want to share this passion and understanding with our communities. Through consumer engaging Spirit of Blue campaigns – we want to make a connection. Bridging the gap between the community and the men and women who serve to protect it. Our men and women in blue deserve our utmost respect for their sacrifice. We’re bound and determined to spread that message.

THE NEED

Over 900,000 law enforcement officers honorably serve the population of the United States - that equates to 1 officer for every 350 citizens. On average, 125 officers are lost and another 15,000 are injured in the line of duty each year. Yet funding for safety equipment and training is dwindling as tax revenues decline. The need for supplemental funding to protect these officers has never been greater.
